Ed was the store manager and supervisor of the former Victory Market in the CNY area retiring in 1983. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the State American Legion. He and his late wife Jane enjoyed traveling in their RV and spending winters in Florida during their retirement years.
He was predeceased by his wife Nancy "Jane" in 2018. Surviving are his son, Edward M. Cook II (Kathy) of Ocala, Fl., his daughters, Teresa Ross (John) and Edie Wilcox (Orville) both of Chittenango, his brothers, Lawrence of Oran, Roderick of Perryville and Robert of Morrisville, his sisters Lillian Strong of Colorado and Judith Hamilton of Syracuse, his 3 granddaughters, Amanda Ross and Sierra and Delaney Cook, a great-granddaughter Lilly Hogle and several nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Whiskers.
Family calling hours and the funeral service will be private. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Cazenovia.
