Robert Foster Hasler, 97, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at Saint Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. He was the husband of Wilma Jean Hall Hasler. They shared 74 years of marriage together.

He was born in Bicknell, Indiana and was the son of John Olaf and Arkie Hasler. He attended Scotland High School and graduated in 1940. He worked as a mechanic before joining the Air Force in 1942. He was a flight engineer and held the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He served for 23 years and was in the WWII, Korean, and Vietnam Wars. After retiring from the Air Force in 1969, he worked at AVCO, and eventually worked with Capital Airways in Smyrna, TN., retiring in 1988.

He was a member of Third Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, tinkering with cars, fishing, roller skating, and watching baseball and football. His favorite team was the Atlanta Braves. He will be remembered for his concern and love for his family, and helping his loved ones out whenever he could.

He is survived by his wife, daughter, Eva Jean Griffith (Ken), son, Robert Scott Hasler (Sandra), six grandchildren; Jerry Burger, Jonathan Griffith (Carrie), Laura Griffith Metcalf (Phil), Amye Hasler Bramlett (Bryan), Aaron Hasler (Aubrey), and Amber Hasler Dillon (Michael), and 13 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Jim Hasler, a sister, Mary Martin, and two sons, Jackie Dale Hasler and John Shaulis Hasler.

The funeral service has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 16 at 12:00 pm at Jenkins Funeral Home at 421 S. Seminary St. in Bloomfield, Indiana. There will be visitation beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at the Scotland Cemetery following the service.
