Betty Lee (Cabinaw) DeLorme, 70, of Pellston, Michigan walked on peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital.

Betty was born on July 11, 1943 in Petoskey, the daughter of Henry and Adelaide (McDonald) Cabinaw of Pellston. She graduated from Pellston High School in 1961 and on September 14, 1962 she married Harvey John DeLorme who preceded her in death in 2006.

She was employed for 34 years at Jervis Webb Company, retiring in 2009. Betty was an electrical technician. She worked in both the Harbor Springs and Pellston plants. She was a member of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians.

Surviving are her children; Janelle and Chuck Smith, Jolene Judson, Chris and Kim DeLorme, Jill DeLorme and James Omey. Grandchildren are; Shaylee, Christopher, Cassandra, Kevin, Becky, James and Cameron. Her great grandchildren; Lakota, Marshal and Kendall. Her siblings; Lucius and Rose Cabinaw, Kathy Siler, David and Sherry Cabinaw, and sister-in-law, Theresa DeLorme and by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey; son-in-law, Don Judson; brothers; Sonny Cabinaw and Patrick Cabinaw; brother-in-law, Gerald DeLorme; and sisters-in-law, Theresa and Donna DeLorme and Barbara Pine.

Services celebrating Betty's life will be held on Wednesday, April 16th at 11:00 am at Stones Funeral Home in Petoskey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of service. A luncheon will be held following the service at the Quonset Hall next to St. Clements Church in Pellston.

Burial will take place in the McKinley Township Cemetery at a later date.
