U.S. Congressman. He graduated from the College of the City of New York, in 1904, from the Brooklyn Law School of St. Lawrence University, in 1906, was admitted to the bar and commenced the practice of law in New York City. In 1915, he was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-fourth and Sixty-fifth Congresses, serving until 1919. Not a candidate for re-nomination, he was a delegate to the Democratic State conventions, (1925-27) and practiced law until his death at the age of 56.
