Harold Thomas Peay, age 90, died January 13, 2000, in Odgen, Utah of complications due to pneumonia and heart attack.

Born to George Barnes and Zella Agnes Beal Peay, on May 13, 1909 in Provo, Utah. Married Eulala Clark, June 19, 1930. She died August 18, 1985. Then married Erma Kearl Nov. 12, 1987.

He was a High Priest, missionary, member of the Young Mens Presidency. He started his career as young man at the family Peay Dairy. He then worked at Geneva Steel and the Continental Baking Company. Retired from Ajax Presses. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer and bowler. Family and friends enjoyed his hand made wood pieces. His greatest enjoyment was his family. He made friends wherever he went and enjoyed life to the fullest.

He is survived by his wife, Erma, Layton; sons; Keith W. (Marcia), Midvale; Kenneth R. (Sandie), Holladay; daughters-in-law, Sharlene, Cottonwoods Heights and Charlene, Pleasant Grove; three step-children, Burdette (Marie) Kearl, Syracuse, Floyd (Lida) Kearl, Layton, Colleen (Thomas) Yost, Tucson, AZ.; sisters, Mary Jacobs, Pleasant Grove, Emily Royle, American Fork; 27 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Preceded in death by two sons, Clark and Morris; and two great-grandchildren, Tauni Payne and Cody Olson. Also preceded in death by three brothers; Jennings, Golden and Ethan, and one sister, Ruth Woodworth.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Central Ward, 60 East Gordon Avenue, Layton, Utah. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the Ward. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 So. 1700 East, Sandy, Utah.
