In reference to the photo of Alice: This image is taken from a postcard that Alice sent to her brother William Fairbrother in Rago, Kansas. It is postmarked Hillsboro, Kansas, 1913, Jun 13, 7 PM, and reads thus: "1913, Jun 13. Dear Bro, Am sending a few Signs of Times today, hope you will inform them. How do you like my baby. How is everybody am well as usual. Good Bro Loveingly Alice." Given to my by a wonderful person who found this card in a shop in Lincoln, Nebraska and then found me on Ancestry.com where it is also posted. Thank you. And thank you to whomever identified the baby in quite a different hand with heavy pencil. Alice and William were both step siblings and first cousins as Alice's dad married his late wife's sister-in-law.

The baby was identified as Alice's niece Margarite Griswold.
