US Congressman. Elected to represent New York's 15th and 16th Disricts in the United States House of Representatives, he served from 1917 to 1921. He also served as a Delegate to the New York State Constitutional Convention Convention for the 15th District in 1915, and as a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention from New York in 1916, and 1920. He died in a taxicab accident in New York, New York.
