Kentucky New Era obit posted 20 Sep 2004 reads as follows:

Ronnie Cain, 60, Cadiz, died at 2:30pm Friday, Sept 17, 2004, at Lourdes Hospital, Paducah, of natural causes.

Services were this morning at King's Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Cannon officiating. Burial with military rites was in Trigg Memory Acres.

A native of Trigg County, he was born Dec. 21, 1943, the son of Evangeline Cain, Cadiz, and the late Carl J. Cain. He was a retired Air Force Vietnam veteran who received the Air Force Commendation Medal. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veterans and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a member of the Canton Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Christine Cain; a son, Brett D. Cain, Louisville; a daughter, Mrs. Doug (Cyndi) Broyles, Gainsville, Tenn.; a brother, James Harold Cain, Marshall County and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the building fund at the Canton Baptist Church, Boyd's Landing Road, Canton, Cadiz, Ky., or the Ford Family and Friends Relay for Life Team, In Care of Carolyn Bland, Old Canton Pike, Cadiz.
