S. Ellen Kidd, 82, of 1190 Caldwell Street died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, December 24, 2002 at MedCentral Shelby. She was born November 25, 1920 in West Virginia living in the Mansfield area most of her life. She retired from Therm-O-Disc in 1985 and Greenthumb in 1999. She loved quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Danny Kidd of Kentucky; a daughter, Geneva Yates of Florida; grandchildren, Marsha Henderson of Ontario, Penny Gardiner of Colorado, James and Jason Marcum of Mansfield, Roy Marcum of North Carolina, and Chris and Megan Smith of Florida; great-grandchildren, Jamie Sprang of Shenandoah, Ohio Gretchen Sprang of Ontario, Patrick Henderson of Ontario, Tim, Grant and Jordan Gardiner of Colorado, and Brittany Marcum of Mansfield; and a great great-grandson, Lucas Collins of Shenandoah. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Dallas Roy Marcum, James Alvin Marcum and Donnie Ray Marcum; and a granddaughter, Kathy Marcum.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Monday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 10:30. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.
