Stella and Tad resided in a beautiful white farmhouse which has since been placed on the list of Historical homes in Center Township, Greene County, Indiana. The farm and their home was always meticulously maintained. Their life was busy sun up to sun down but they found time to help family and neighbors in the Ridgeport Community. For many years Stella was known to walk for miles over the "pike" roads to visit friends and family, and to encourage children of the area to participate in activities at Ridgeport Community Church where she taught Sunday School classes for children and studied scripture with adults. This contributor was fortunate to be one of her young students in late 1930's. Stella was a wonderful role model who left a lasting impression on many, many young people.
