Nicholas F. "Nick" Howe, 21, of Aurora, passed away Friday, October 21, 2005 at Camp Pendleton, California during training exercises. He was born April 4, 1984 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Nick graduated from Holy Angles Grade School in 1998 and West Aurora High School in 2002. He also attended Milliken University in Decatur, Illinois on an academic scholarship for two years, and was most recently employed by Touch of Glass in Aurora.

Nick loved his time in Aurora and was very involved in sports. He played in YMCA T-Ball, Aurora Boys Baseball, Plano JFL, Kicker Soccer, Sharpshooter Basketball, Holy Angels School football, basketball, track and chess club. He played football, basketball and baseball at West Aurora High School, and varsity football for Milliken University for two years. Nick was also a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He will be sorely missed by all of us who knew him.

Survivors include his parents, Michael J. and Judith F. (Carr) Howe of Aurora; his aunt and God Mother, Joan (Willard) Payne of Carol Stream, IL; aunts, Kathy (Ronald) Getz of Lake Villa, IL and Mary Jane (Dennis) Marfell of Washington, IL; his uncles, Peter (Karen) Howe of Arlington Heights, Thomas (Noot) Howe of Peoria, IL and Richard Howe of Danville, IL; his girl friend, Desarae Eck of Northlake, IL; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Margaret Howe; his maternal grandparents, Paul and Reba Carr; his uncle and God Father, James Preston Carr; and his uncle, Frederick Leon Carr.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by The Daleiden Mortuary, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, where visitation will be held on Thursday, October 27 from 2:00-8:00 PM.
