Mrs. Miranda Catherine Nicholson, 89, of the Caney Fork section of Jackson Count, passed away at the home of a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Obert Nicholson, at 3:40 p.m. last Friday, May 13, 1949.
Mrs. Nicholson , who is the widow of the late George W. Nicholson who died in 1943, had been in ill health for about a year, but her death at the time came unexpectedly.
Funeral services were held at the Caney Fork Methodist church with the Rev. John Kincaid and the Rev. Jonathan Brown officiating. Burial was in the [Lower] Coward Cemetery.
Surviving are five daughters.
