Kathy Nell Whitaker, 66, of Lake City, Arkansas, passed from this life Monday, April 14, 2014, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
She was born at Judd Hill, Arkansas, to Richard Lee and Nell Ashmore Whitsett.
Kathy retired after 20 years with the Butterball factory. She was a loving wife, mother, "Mawmaw" and sister, who was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Whitsett and Larry Whitsett; sister, Pearl Adams; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Whitsett.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jessie Glen Whitaker of the home; son, Jerry Whitsett of Harrisburg; daughter, Patricia Grimes of Flippin; grandchildren, Heather, Josh, Gary, Tia, Ryne and Amber; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Sanford Whitsett and Ricky Whitsett; sisters, Patricia Samson and Susie Phillips; stepsons, Roger Whitaker and wife Opal and Roy Whitaker and wife Melinda; stepdaughters, Glenda Ling and Cheryl Fullriede; and several step-grand-children.
Funeral services were at Murphy Funeral Home. Burial was in Marked Tree Cemetery.
