Glen Alma Bailey, age 70, passed away peacefully December 24, 2005 in the Veteran's Administration Nursing Home in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Glen was born to Joseph Smith Bailey and Lillian Astle Bailey April 25, 1935 in Rupert, Idaho.

He married Catherine Teresa Lynn in the Mesa, Arizona Temple July 20, 1955. They have six children, 25 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Glen served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the early 1950s. While there, he visited Ireland on leave, and there met his future wife at the local LDS branch.

Glen attended Utah State University, and worked for many years as a safety engineer in the aerospace industry, primarily with Thiokol, based in Northern Utah, and at Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Glen is survived by his wife; and children, Glen Lynn Bailey (Cheryl), Catherine Bailey Poulsen (Greg), Sharon Bailey Spainhower, Janet Bailey Taylor (Robert), Joseph Lynn Bailey (Kathleen). He is also survived by siblings LaRee Wade, Thurlow Bailey, Ardith Smith, Della Jolley, Valora Evans, Leslie Bailey, Gerald Bailey, and Carol Greenwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph Bailey; and son, David Lynn Bailey.
