John Hays, Boonville, Mo., died July 12, in the hospital at Springfield, Va., following a short illness. He was born May 16, 1904, in Soldier, Kansas.
He was a graduate of Manhattan High School, and received a bachelor of science degrees from Kansas State University. At the time of his death, Hays was athletic director at Kemper Military School and College.
Survivors include his wife, Byrda of the home; three daughters, Marjorie Louise, Betty J. and Virginia; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday in Boonville, Mo. Burial was in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
