Jonathan C. Ball, 23, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Lake Ave. campus, from injuries sustained in a car accident on Tuesday evening. He was born and raised in Worcester, the son of Donald A. Ball and Gail E. (Hebert) Ball, both of Worcester.

Besides his parents, Jon leaves his son, Hunter R. Pope and Hunter's mother, Courtney R. Pope of Holden; his sister, Tiffany E. Borrelli and her husband, Patrick of Tampa, FL; his grandparents, Clifford and Janet Albrecht of Clearwater, FL; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jon also leaves his girlfriend, Julia McSherry of Worcester.

Jon attended St. Peter-Marion High School in Worcester and Wachusett Regional High School in Holden. He enjoyed watching Boston sports teams, playing hockey and lacrosse as well as spending time with family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 2, in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Holden, followed by a committal service at St. Mary's Cemetery, 1326 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Memorial donations may be made to The Barton Center for Diabetes Education, Inc., Joslin Diabetes Camp, 150 Richardson Corner Road, Charlton, MA 01507.
