Mrs. Kahler had lived in Salisbury since 1872. She was married January 22, 1936 to Denzil Kahler in Keytesville and he preceded her in death June 30, 1976. She worked as a dietician at Chariton Park Health Care Center for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Salisbury and of the American Legion Auxiliary in Brunswick.
She is survived by three children, Vaona and Dan White of Salisbury, Rodney and Mellie Kahler of Gulf Port, Mississippi and Debbie and Eddy Mitchell of Holliday; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Frederick William Brockman; and two sisters, Ora Lee Linneman and Gladys Marie Durham.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Berry Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Mike Brown and Rev. Rusty Hibbard.
Burial was in Elliott Grove Cemetery, Brunswick. Pallbearers were Greg Speiser, James Durham, Edward Linneman, Ronald Kahler, Bill Kahler, and Gale Dean Kahler. Honorary pallbearers were Teddy Erickson, Kenny Clark, Randy Van Pelt, Dennis Bowers, Danny Kahler, and Jack Grotjan.
