Leola "Lee" Mae Denney, resident of Midland, TX since 1984 went home to her heavenly Father on December 23, 2005 at the age of 74. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 3800 N. Big Spring St. in Midland with pastor Craig DeArmond officiating. She will be laid to rest with her loving husband on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 2:30 pm in Abilene at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Lee was born March 24, 1931 in Antlers, Oklahoma to J.C. and Rosa Standifer. She graduated from high school in Breckenridge, TX and married Robert Dean Denney on September 6, 1947. They were happily married for 35 years until he was called to be with the Lord in 1983. Lee lived her life for her kids and grandchildren. She loved them all very much. She was always so full of life and loved to be with her family and friends. She leaves behind treasured memories with her many friends such as Kana Burnam, Mary Schaffer, Mary Carrens, Becky Phillips, Pat Pipal, Dixie Greenlee, and Dorthy Bush. Lee is survived by two children, Jim Denney and Cyndi Elizondo both of Argyle, TX. Other survivors include five grand- children, Jeremy Denney and wife Kara of Justin, TX; Chad Denney and wife Dionne of Odessa; Kami McLendon and husband Derrek, of Midland; Robin Pinkert and husband Cody, of Lubbock, and Jami Denney of Dallas; three brothers, Harry Standifer of Abilene, Gene Standifer and his wife Evelyn of Simpson, LA, Kenneth Standifer and his wife, Charlcy of Stephenville; two sisters, Dortha Walden and her husband, Wade, Ruby Knox and her husband Ken all of Abilene. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her loving husband and her nephew, Mike Walden.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Denney, Chad Denney, Derrek McLendon, Cody Pinkert, Jim Moore and J.C. Walden. Honorary pallbearers will be Shelly Carrens, Frank Bates, Wayne Greenlee, Glen Burnam, Wade Walden, Ken Knox, and Bill Green.

Our many thanks and appreciation go out to Leslie and Cecilia for terrific home care you two provided her. She thought the world of both of you. It must also be said that the Dallas Cowboys just lost their biggest fan but we all know she will still be rooting for them in her place of glory.

Last but no least- "GIGI, we will miss you so much- you are now our Guardian Angel." – from all your great grandchildren.
