Hazel Marie Davis December 16, 1937 - January 11, 2022
Hazel Marie Davis, of Hugo, Okla., passed away Jan. 1, 2022, at the age of 84. Hazel Marie (Spence) Davis was born on Dec. 16, 1937 in Antlers, Okla., to Tom and Lucille Spence. She married her childhood sweetheart, Floyd Davis, on Sept. 28, 1953 in Durant, Okla. After traveling, they made their home in Hugo in 1958. Hazel worked for Sears and Roebuck and later for Western Farmers as a water plant operator. Hazel enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, baking cookies for those closest to her, visiting antique stores and adding to her collection of glass birds, jewelry and shoes. She enjoyed passing time in her flower garden, fishing and reading. She will be missed by the many people whose lives she has impacted. Hazel was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 65 years, Floyd Davis; her parents, Tom and Lucille Spence; two grandchildren; and sisters: Civola Beagles and Ramona Spence. She is survived by her sons: Dean Davis and wife of Hugo, and Troy Davis and wife of Grove, Okla.; daughter, Gina Hammock and husband of Soper, Okla.; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; her dear friend, and a host of other dearly beloved friends and family. Memorial services will be held at a later date, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
