Mrs. Jane Abbott, 81, of Union City died 5:40 a.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Chris Altrock will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
Mrs. Abbott was born February 17, 1933, in Los Angeles, California, daughter of the late Maurice Thomas and Sarah Emiline (Green) Davison.
Jane enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a true friend to all that knew her. Jane enjoyed working in her flowers and having a garden. She was known for sharing the produce she grew with all of her neighbors and friends. Jane was a retired interior decorator and a member of the Obion Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Tom Endicott of Carmel, Indiana; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jim Abbott of Memphis and Jody and Amy Abbott of Eads; and four grandchildren, Sara Endicott of Indianapolis, Indiana, Adam Endicott of Carmel, Indiana and Alaina Abbott and Alex Abbott both of Eads.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James H. Abbott; and two sisters, Mary Belle Thornton and Nancy Nichols.
