Born on October 22, 1922 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late William P. and Helen F. Muller. She worked as a bookkeeper for Collins Department Store and later for Peebles. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Military Widows Association, DAVA, and a past member of LAFRA and affiliate member of NCLPNA.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan Strain and husband, Jim of Elizabethtown, KY, Patricia Beverage of Jacksonville; two sons, Raymond Beverage and wife, Barbara of Manassas, VA, Thomas G. Beverage of Jacksonville; a brother, Francis Muller and wife, Ann of Norwood, MA; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Beverage of Wake Forest; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, GySgt (RET) Victor Mills Beverage; son, Victor Michael Beverage and grandson, Daniel Beverage.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6 until 8 pm at Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Monday, April 21, 2014 at Infant of Prague Catholic Church with Father Ernest Ruede officiating. Burial will follow in New Bern National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation; IOP Catholic Church or to Coastal Carolina Community College Foundation – Beverage Family Scholarship.
