LLOYD W. SPENCER

Lloyd W. Spencer, 79, of 299 Fish Pond Drive, Stuart, Va., died April 12, 2014, at home.

He was born in Henry County April 25, 1934, to the late Pete A. Spencer and Gladys Hundley Spencer.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a truck driver but been disabled for many years. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved riding motorcycles and was a member of the "Iron Butt Association."

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Baliles Spencer and a son, Albert Spencer.

He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Harris of Axton and Kathy Spencer Hayes of Troy, Va.; three sons, Leroy Spencer of Patrick Springs, Winford Spencer and Fred Spencer of Bassett; three sisters, Garnet S. Waddill of Rocky Mount, Esther S. Newman of Bassett and Erma S. Driver of Louisburg, N.C.; a brother, James Martin of Bassett; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Wednesday April 16, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with burial to follow in the County Line Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery with Pastor Freddie Bonds and Pastor Danny Gilley officiating.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral and other times at the home on Fish Pond Drive.

ALL BIKER FRIENDS ARE ASKED TO RIDE THEIR MOTORCYLCES TO THE FUNERAL.
