Mr. Gilreath was born in Wadesboro, N.C., and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was an employee of MCI.
Surviving are his wife, Terri Kellett Gilreath, of the home; three children, Leah, Lee and Jennifer; one granddaughter, Allison; his mother and stepfather, Elizabeth and Andy Bindewald, of Simpsonville; his father and stepmother, Robert and Juanita Gilreath, of North Carolina; two sisters, Sally Rickard, and her husband, Kevin, of Charlotte, and Molly Loudermilk, and her husband, Daryl, of Greenville; and his grandmother, Geneva T. Mote, of Oxford, Ala.
Memorials may be made to South Greenville Fire Department, Augusta Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel, with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family is at 2849 Fork Shoals Road, Piedmont.
