Jack was born on June 4, 1925 in Checotah, Oklahoma to James and Dove (Seckinger) Rodgers. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He received an Honorable Discharge from the Navy. He would later retire from the United States Army Base in Savanna, OK.
Jack enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing at the casinos and tinkering with his tools. He was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather and step-grandfather to his family.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor, of the home; daughter, Jackie Stanfill of Muskogee; grandchildren, Megan Zuniga of Muskogee, Janie Renfield, Muskogee; one brother, Johnny Rodgers of Shawnee; he was also loved by his step children and spouses, Peggy and Ronnie Tatum of Wainwright, Ronnie and Susan Rodgers of Muskogee, Sharon Gleese of McAlester, Ida Louise and Robert Yarberry of Wagoner, Curtis and Leilani Ott of Longtown, Fredonia and Tony McGuire of Alderson; he had many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dove; wife, Ida Mae Rodgers; brothers, Jim Rodgers, Bill Rodgers, Ted Rodgers and one sister, Aldora.
Pallbearers will be Eugene Newton, Bruce Newton, Bryce Newton, Bernie Underwood, Kevin Daniels and Clinton Ott.
