RICHMOND — Nina K. Reed, of Richmond, Ky., widow of William S. Reed, died on Monday, April 9, 2012, in Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center of Richmond. Mrs. Reed was a native of Madison County and the daughter of the late Wallace C. and Valeria Sanders Kanatzar. She was a member of the Waco Baptist Church, the Society of Boonesborough, Eastern Kentucky University Alumni, Madison County Retired Teachers, a Kentucky Colonel, and a former member of the Eastern Star of the Waco Masonic Lodge No. 338 and the Pi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. Survivors include: a son, William Guy Reed (Janice), of Lexington, Ky.; a grandson, William Guy Reed II, of Corbin, Ky.; two great-grandsons, William Guy Reed III and Jerry K. Reed; two step-grandchildren, DeEdra Hoskins (Avery), of Lexington, Ky., and Tom VanLandingham (Cindy), of Alabama; and four step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Nina K. Reed will be conducted at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Brother Fred Livingood officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of service at Oldham, Roberts & Powell on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be: Tommy Congleton, Charles Bogie, Oscar Dunn Jr., Charles "Toby" Honaker, Armon Sanders and Eddie Pullins. Honorary pallbearers will be Franklin Turpin, Michael Woolery, Harry Bush and Greg Shackleford. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery. - Oldham-Roberts-Powell Obit.
