Funeral services for Margie Myers Davis Wright, 88, of Winnsboro will be 1 pm Tuesday April 15, 2014 in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly Wayne Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 am until time of service.
Mrs. Wright was born February 22, 1926 in Good Pine to William Henry and Clara Lee Wiggins Meyers and passed from this life on April 12, 2014 at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro.
She was a long time member of Temple Baptist Church. She lived a long healthy, happy Christian life. God blessed her greatly.
Preceding Mrs. Wright in death was her husband Clarence "Shorty" Davis, husband C. W. Wright, parents; in-laws Walter and Clara Davis; brothers Norbeth Myers, W. H. Myers, Jr., sister Ernestine Carter, daughter Becky Parker, grandson Griff Griffing and grandson-in-law Mike Johns.
Survivors include her two sisters: Myrna "Peaches" Remore of Cleveland, TX and Jerry Polk of Braddus, TX; sister-in-law Doris Johnston of Winnsboro; two daughters Barbara Lewis and husband Devonne of Monroe, Lisa Thornton and husband Donald of Winnsboro; son Dell Davis and wife Wanda of Crowville; son-in-law Don Parker of Crowville; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; "Good Daughter" Nancy Young; friend and care-giver Jessie Townsend and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kerry Bailey, Bradley Lewis, Devonne Lewis, Don Parker, Donald Thornton and Billy Bob Wiggins.
