MANSFIELD: Anthony R. "Tony" Fox, age 73, of Mansfield, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Tony was born August 12, 1940 in Bucyrus, the 15th child of the late Paul and Marie (Beran) Fox. He retired after 33 years of services at Timken Roller Bearing in Bucyrus. Following his retirement, Tony worked part time at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home in Bucyrus. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Mansfield, Bucyrus Moose, and was the president and very active member of the Johnny Appleseed Wood Carvers. Tony loved to carve. After 9 -11 he devoted most of his carvings to eagles. A conservative estimate of his eagle carvings, which are all shapes and sizes, would be over 3,000.

Tony is survived by his wife, DeLayne "Dee" (Lantz) Fox, whom he wed on July 30, 1996; four children, Alena Fox, Bernadette Widman, David Fox, and Eunice (Pat) Collene all of Bucyrus; two step-children, Kevin (Melissa) Fidler of Butler and Kelly Fidler of Chesapeake, VA; seven grandchildren, Mitchell Widman, Malynne Widman, Zachary Fox, Katelyn Fox, Caleb Fox, Phillip Collene, and Olivia Collene; a great grandchild, Daven Fox; three step-grandchildren, Micaela Fidler, MacKenzie Fidler, Hadyn Fidler; four brothers, Tom (Susan) Fox of Findlay, Don (Ruth) Fox of Bucyrus, Dick Fox of Santa Fe, NM, and Carl Fox of Peebles.

He was preceded in death by five sisters, Rita Smith, Rosemary Stinchcomb, Sister Martha Fox, Sister Emily Fox and Elaine Fox; six brothers, John, Jerome, Bob, James, Ed and Paul Fox.

Friends and Family are welcome on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 9-11 AM at Crossroads Community Church, 1188 Park Avenue West, Mansfield, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM by Pastor Ron Biddle.

Tony was an avid supporter of his granddaughter's softball teams. The family suggests memorial expressions be made in care of Kevin Fidler. Donations will be divided between Clearfork Lady Colts softball team and Colonial Crawford Lady Eagles softball team.

Care was given by Bob, Catherine and Jake at Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. To leave a condolence or to share a remembrance with Tony's family, please visit:
