Services for Paulette "Polly" B. Rhodes, 63, of Royse City, were held Jan. 7, 2014, at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel in Kemp, with Dr. Robert A. Wheat officiating. Interment followed at King Cemetery.

Rhodes was born June 30, 1950, in Kaufman, to Willie Marie (Henson) and Paul Joseph Balajka, and died Jan. 2, 2014.

She loved her family and had a strong faith.

She enjoyed fishing, playing the organ and singing. She also enjoyed reading the Bible, cooking for her family, watching soap operas, traveling and dining out.

She attended Kemp schools.

She worked for Walmart in Rockwall for for 28 years, was a department manager and received numerous Outstanding Employee awards.

She met Walmart founder Sam Walton on several occasions.

She was "Bapticostal" by faith and attended the Poetry Baptist Church, where she sang with her husband.

She was a den mother for Cub Scouts and cared for her family and anyone who needed her.

She was a loving and loved lady who will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, four sons, one daughter, two grandsons, five granddaughters, two sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and many loving friends.
