Earnestine (Pete) Griffin, 75, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed away March 31, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born March 14, 1946, in Blytheville, Arkansas to Earnest Leslie Koonce and Edna Bea Williams Koonce.
Earnestine was of the Pentecostal faith, and a member of Grace Fellowship Church of God. For many years, she worked as a nurses aid for Stone County Medical Center. She enjoyed going to church, listening to music, playing games, working in her flower bed, fishing, and most of all spending time with family and friends. She lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed.
Earnestine was survived by her son, Ray Hicks of Mountain View, Arkansas; brother, Roger Koonce (Ernie) of Mountain View, Arkansas; sisters, Marilyn Boren (Jack), Karen Wolf (Rick) all of Mountain View, Arkansas; nephew, Mike Alexander of Mountain View, Arkansas. She was also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Earnestine was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Griffin; parents, Earnest and Edna Koonce; siblings, Shirley McDaniels, Wayne Koonce, Patsy Alexander, and Barbara Tidwell.
A visitation will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Mountain View Funeral Service Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Joseph A. Blake will officiate the service. Interment will take place at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jason Boren, Jack Boren, Rick Wolf, and Ian Logan.
Honorary Pallbearers are Ray Hicks, Mike Alexander, and Roger Koonce.
