Rita Faye James, 59 of Atmore, AL. passed away April 9, 2014 in Mobile, AL. She was born on May 15, 1954 in Atmore, AL. She was a LPN for many years. She is preceded in death by her father, Reuben McKinley and a son Phillip Cox.
She is survived by her husband William "Bill" James and her mother Lois Presley. One Son; Jason Wade (Bobbie) Cox of Atmore, AL. Daughters Kari (T.J.) Ashcraft of Frisco City, AL, Sara Dunn of Uriah, AL, Heather Dunn of Uriah, AL. and Joanna James of Lillian of AL; brother Steve (Kristina) Morris of Atmore, AL; sisters Patti Prater of Vicksburg, MS. and Elaine Swilley of Atmore, AL; grandchildren Jacob, Blaze Mikael and Kaston. Her best friend Peggy Quimby Weaver.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 2:30 PM from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scott Allen and Rev. Paul Enfinger officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Claude James, Stevie Morris, Steven Morris, Brad Goldman, Tommy Ashcraft and Tim Goldman.
Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 1:30 PM until service time at 2:30 PM from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rita James Memorial Fund c/o First National Bank of Atmore.
