WEST MILTON — Wilma E. Abshire, Age 94, of West Milton, formerly of Ludlow Falls, went to be with her Savior in her Heavenly mansion, Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Upper Valley Medical Center.
She was born September 21, 1923, in Piqua, Ohio, to her parents Jesse Leroy & Maybelle (Kessler) Gibboney.
Wilma attended Richard Weston's Beauty College and owned and operated Wilma Lee's Beauty Salon in West Milton.
She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Ludlow Falls for nearly 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Louis Abshire; son, Rick Abshire; great grandson, Michael Abshire; sisters, Lucy Ensminger, Dessie Anthony, Ruby Asher, Betty Holsinger, Clara Kritzberger, Rose Gibboney; brothers, Samuel Gibboney and William Gibboney.
She will be missed and remembered by her loving daughter and son-in-law Terri & Terry Brown of Laura; grandchildren Kirk Sowry, Bill & Angela Brown, Tony & Tammy Brown, Scott Abshire, Cara King, Jason Abshire; great grandchildren Nicole Lavey, Ryan Sowry, Nathan Abshire, Levi Abshire, Alex King, Jase King, Kennedy Abshire, Bailey Abshire; 11 great great grandchildren; sister Mary Ellen Solano.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday, April 17, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill, with interment following at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends from 10-12 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Baptist Church, 2500 State Route 48, Ludlow Falls, Ohio, 45339.
