MANSFIELD: Craig R. Morton, 67 of Mansfield, passed away Saturday afternoon April 12, 2014 in Ohio Health MedCentral Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Buffalo, NY on Dec 26, 1946 he was the son of Robert & Frances (Upper) Morton who preceded him in death. He completed his undergraduate work at University of Buffalo and went on to earn his master's from Ashland College.

Craig had a career in the steel industry but was most proud of his work with special needs students at Ontario Local Schools.

As much as he enjoyed golfing, reading, or watching sports, he most loved spending time with his four grandkids.

He is survived by Pat Morton of Mansfield; son Craig R. Jr. & Kristin Morton of Powell with their daughter Kate; son Buck & Dawn Morton of Mansfield with their children Lucas, Laurel & Samantha; and a sister Linda & Bob Gill of Mesa, AZ.

The family will receive friends 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014 at Snyder Funeral Home, 2553 Lexington Avenue, where a memorial service celebrating his life will immediately follow at 4 p.m. and Pastor Dave Pound will officiate.
