Rose M. Hogan, 90, of Zion, IL died April 11, 2014 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, IL.

Rose was born July 1, 1923 and raised in Baltimore, MD, then later became a long time resident of Wadsworth, IL. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church all her married life and was actively involved in religious education. She was a pioneer in the Benet Lake, WI Charismatic movement and was an active member throughout her life. During World War II, Rose worked as a rivet backer at an airplane factory. In her free time, she liked gardening, crocheting blankets for family members, cooking, canning and most of all, spending time with her family.

Rose is survived by her children, David (Jirushaya) Hogan, Catherine (Jack) Monroe, Timothy (Brenda) Hogan, Patricia (Raymond) Wood, John (Amy) Hogan, Maureen (Tim, dec'd) Jost, and Alva (Bonnie) Caldwell; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Clifford Hogan; son, Matthew Hogan; 2 grandsons, Adam Wood and Joseph Monroe; and her parents.

Visitations will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL and Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 15000 Wadsworth Rd., Wadsworth, IL. Mass will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to good Samaritan Fund at St. Patrick's Church, or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Suite 200, Bethesda, Maryland 20814 have been suggested.
