Mr. Fletcher Martin, 87 of Fort Payne passed away Monday following a short illness. Fletcher was born in Dekalb Co. Oct. 31, 1926 son of the late Fred Bruce Martin and Lela Rose Martin. He was a member of the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was a former president of the Jaycee's and retired as an engineer with Sand Mountain Electric Coop and Real Estate Agent in Dekalb Co.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday from the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Highfield, Rev. Brain Harris and Rev. Tim Scott officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home.
Survivors include his son and daughter in law, Jay and Trish Martin. Daughter and son in laws, Nina and Jim Keith and Janice and Ronnie Warren. 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Martin 2002, Brother, Phillip Martin, Sister, Freddie Harman and great grandson, Elijah Jackson Keith. His guiding Scripture was 1st. Thessalonians 5:16-18.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church
Pallbearers include the following, Waylon Miller, Benn Keith, Michael Keith, Derrick Keith, Budd Keith and Clay Keith.
