Lou Hinton, 83, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home Friday, April 11, 2014. She was surrounded by her loving family and entered the gates of heaven with grace and dignity. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet. Betty Lou Dunlap was born March 11, 1931, in Axtell to parents, Lou Vicey Jane Rebecca and Hampton Marcus Dunlap. Lou was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Morris Orvil Hinton, who passed away July 26, 2006. Lou was a member of the "Greatest Generation." She was talented, strong, generous, loving, kind, thoughtful and always helping her family and friends with problems and projects. She touched the lives of many people and will be remembered as an "amazing" woman! Her family is thankful and blessed to have had the most wonderful, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother in the world. She was completely devoted to her family and will be greatly missed. Survivors: Lou is survived by her only daughter, Carol Hinton Vanpell of Fort Worth; oldest son, Morris Ray Hinton and wife, Janet, of Mansfield; her youngest son, James Gregg Hinton and his wife, Patti Jo, of Saginaw; grandchildren, Kim Wallace and husband, Gene, Kathy Nors and husband, Tim, Kelly Casas, Jim Hinton and wife, Summer, Patricia Miller and husband, Junior, Derek Hinton and wife, Tracie, Jared Hinton and Matthew Hinton; great-grandchildren, Emily and Chris Wallace, Sam and Ben Nors, Taylor James, Reid and Corbin Miller, Laryn, Hudson and Braylen Hinton and Jacob and Anna Hinton.
