Beverly Jean McPherson of San Antonio died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the age of 79. Born in Santa Anna, Texas on June 11, 1934, Beverly lived her life to the fullest. She will be remembered as a woman who looked for adventure. Beverly enjoyed journaling her world travels; reading her accounts were always entertaining to her family and friends. She was active in her Single Friends Class and regularly attended her Lunch Bunch Group at Alamo Heights Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and participant in book clubs as well as Socrates Cafe. Beverly loved and cared for her precious animals, especially her kittens. Beverly's four children were the "lights of her life". They had trouble keeping up with where Mom was going next. Beverly worked more than twenty years with the Texas Department of Human Resources. After retirement, she worked briefly for the US Marshal's Office in Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents James Milton Binion and Mildred June Binion; brother, Stanley Binion; and Gene McPherson.
