Arden G. Reisenbigler, 75, of Arlington Heights, Ill., formerly of Erie, Ill., died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at his home. Ardie was born Dec. 17, 1938, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Arden F. and Marjorie (Guthrie) Reisenbigler. He graduated from Erie High School and received his bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University. While in Erie, Ardie worked for Erie Foods International, was a member of the Erie United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. In 1993, he moved to the Chicago area and has been a food ingredient broker for JLS Foods International. Ardie is survived by four children, Tami (Dick) Anderson of Austin, Texas, Arden S. Reisenbigler of Austin, Texas, Eric (Shelley) Reisenbigler of Golf, Ill., and Dane Reisenbigler of Chicago; five grandchildren, Lindsey, Olivia and Charlie Anderson, Beckett and Soren Reisenbigler; siblings, David (Darlene) Reisenbigler and Sylvia Reisenbigler, both of Erie. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private graveside services will be at the Erie Cemetery in Erie, Ill. Gibson - Bode Funeral Home in Erie is assisting with arrangements.
