Will Be Buried
Friday at 10 a.m.

Funeral services for Edmond L. Stewart of Minden, retired realtor and financier who died in a Shreveport hospital at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday night, will be held in the Green-Kleinegger Funeral Home chapel at 10 a.m. Friday. He was 83 years old.

Rev. Dan Robinson, pastor of the First Methodist church of Minden, will officiate. He will be assisted by Rev. N.E. Joyner, former pastor of the First Methodist church here who is now retired.

Mr. Stewart was born in the Pine Grove community in Webster parish and was a lifelong resident of this parish. He attended Tulane University and studied law with his brother, Dan W. Stewart, Sr. Later he became active in handling real estate and had investments in timber and oil.

Mr. Stewart had been ill for the past 15 years and had undergone several operations. He was confined to the Physicians and Surgeons hospital in Shreveport at the time of his death.

He was a member of the board of directors of the Minden Bank & Trust Co. of Minden.

Mr. Stewart is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jimmie Brown Stewart of Minden and one sister, Mrs. Sally Herring of Shreveport.

Pallbearers will be Banks Craton and members of the Minden Bank & Trust Co. board of directors including H.C. Andress, W.R. Bigby, H.W. Davenport, James N. Davis, A.E. Drake, Jasper Goodwill, J.E. Harper, L.F. Pace and D.W. Stewart.
