PARKTON, MD Rodney W. Burns, 77, died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at his home. He was the husband of the late Ohma L. "Lee" (Parris) Burns. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 15, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. The service will begin at noon Tuesday at the mortuary with the Rev. Melissa A. McDade officiating. Burial will be in Stewartstown Cemetery. Born March 28, 1937, Rodney was the son of the late Rodney W. and Edith Ann (Reading) Burns, Sr. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Patricia L. Lewis and her husband, Alan; a sister, Ruth Alban; two grandchildren, Fred Anderson and Jennifer Lewis; and five great-grandchildren. Rodney was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Dehoff. Contributions in Rodney's memory may be made to Stella Maris Hospice Care Program, 2300 Dulaney Valley Road, Timonium, MD 21093.
