Mrs. John Moreland, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Philip Ault, was born in Norka, Russia the 28th day of September 1899. There she was baptized by Rev. Starkel. In 1900 they came to America and made their home in Denver, Colorado where the father died in 1901. Her childhood was spent on a farm at LaSalle, Colorado.

In 1924 she was united in marriage to John Morland and resided on a farm six miles northwest of Culbertson, at which place she resided at the time of her death. After a short illness she passed away on the 11th day of May 1930. The cause of her death was hemorrhage of the heart. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, five children, her mother, one brother, one sister, four half-brothers, and three half-sisters.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Congregational church, and burial was made in the Culbertson cemetery.
