Clarence A. Welever, 60 former Toledo resident died yesterday in Akron. He was a Service Manager for Toledo Scale in Akron since 1950. Mr Welever was formerly employed as a machinist for the old Owens Bottle Co. here and had worked for Toledo Scale at various locations and times since 1927.
He was born in Lorain and lived in Akron 30 years. He was a member of Victory Lodge F&AM, Lake Chapter Eastern Star, and Yussef-Khan Grott, all in Akron and St Andrews Episcopal Church, Barberton.
Surviving are his wife Thelma; sons Donald E. of Hudson O. and C. Jack, Chicago IL; daughter Mrs. Russell Combest, Akron; sister Mrs John Crawford, San Francisco and 6 grandchildren.
The body will be in the chapel of St. Andrews Episcopal Church here from 7 to 9 pm tomorrow. Services will be Friday at 10am in the chapel, conducted by Rev. A.J.J. Gruetter, rector. Burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park.
