"Daniel R. Singleton, 79, of Akron, passed away Feb. 11, 2001. Daniel was born in Burnsville, W. Va., on August 25, 1921, living most of his life in the Akron area. He was employed by Associated Transport, retiring in 1975, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of V.F.W. Post 8975. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elizabeth J.; son... daughters... all of Akron; brother... sisters... seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at the Schermesser Funeral Home, Akron Chapel, 1446 S. Main St. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Interment at East Liberty Cemetery."
