Mrs. David Davis, 79, a Janesville resident for eight years, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon in the home of her daughter, Mrs. David Walker, 1526 Frederick St., with whom she resided. The former Petra Christenson, daughter of Nels and Olene Peterson Christenson, was born in Maple Valley, Wis., Nov. 24, 1885. She was married to David Davis, Sept. 28, 1909, in Menominee, Mich. They lived in Kenosha before locating in Janesville. Mr. Davis died Nov. 1, 1962, and a son, Ellery, also predeceased her. Mrs. Davis was a member of Kenosha Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. David Walker, Janesville; two sons, Lawrence, Kenosha, and Maurice, Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence Christenson, Gurnee, Ill., Julius Christenson, Oshkosh, and Albert Christenson, Hardwood, Mich.; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Johnson, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Dora Anderson, Hales Comers. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
