PALMYRA-Alfred C. Astin, 76, Rte. 1, Palmyra, died Saturday in the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been a patient there one week. The son of Albert and Carrie Astin, he was born April 28, 1888, in Palmyra. He married Anna Tabet, June 21, 1912, at Rockford. He was a retired farmer and life resident of this area. Surviving are his wife; a son, Albert, of Whitewater; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Cora Lewis, Palmyra, and a brother, Howard, of Milwaukee. A daughter, two brothers and 4 sister preceded him in death. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
