Funeral services for Mrs. Levada Ross, 79, of 843 Morton Place will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Weber funeral home. Mrs. Ross died suddenly Monday at 3 p.m. at her residence. She had been under a doctor's care.
An Edwardsville resident 47 years, she was born Jan. 27, 1885 in Madison County, a daughter of the late Washington and Ellen Weeks. Mrs. Ross prior to moving to this city had resided in Staunton.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Ross, whom she married April 13, 1942 at Overland, Mo.; one son, Erven Leonard of this city; a daughter, Mrs. LaVerne (Bernice) DeCrevel, Greenville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, a son, three sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday until the final rites Thursday. The Rev. B.L. Moore of the First Baptist church will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
