Kathryn A. Franklin, age 73, a lifelong resident of Hawley died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center in Honesdale.

Kay was born February 12, 1941 in Honesdale, PA the daughter of the late James B. and Agnes L (Keleher) Grady.

She was also predeceased by her brother, James Grady and a nephews, James R. Grady and Michael Grady.

She worked in New York City for many years before being employed as a secretary for Blooming Grove Sand & Gravel.

Kay was a member and secretary of Hawley Ambulance, B.V.M. Queen of Peace RC Altar & Rosary Society and a choir member in her younger years.

She is survived by one sister: Mary White of Hawley, PA and two brothers: Robert Grady of Throop, PA, Richard Grady of KY; nieces and nephews, Rita, Donna Marie, Karen, Diane, Vickie, Agnes, Linda, Dianne, Robert Michael, Jacquelyn, Thomas and Theresa and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 14th at 10 a.m. at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor.

Burial will be in B.V.M. Queen Of Peace Cemetery, Hawley.
