Services for Nettie L. Vannetter Canard, 89, of Patterson were held Jan. 22 in the McCrory Church of Christ with Mr. Jerry Thompson and Mr. Homer Kennon officiating. Burial was in Sand Hill Cemetery in the Auvergne Community of Jackson County with Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Canard died Jan. 19 in Central Arkansas Hospital in Searcy. She was born Nov. 9, 1902 in the Guion Community of Stone County and was married to Floyd Canard in 1921. He died in 1966.

Mrs. Canard was a homemaker and a member of the McCrory Church of Christ.

She is survived by five daughters--Rosell Canard and Marie Hall both of Patterson, Mary Whitehead of Tupelo, Edwina Whitehead of McCrory and Cleditha Humble of Trumann; one son--Floyd of Hickory Ridge and three sisters--Ruth Harris of Marked Tree and Kristy Mitchusson and Juanita Madden both of Trumann.

Mrs. Canard is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the McCrory Church of Christ.
