James Edward Rousey of Richmond VA departed this life August 2, 2013.

He is survived by his wife Lakwanza James; seven children; mother Earline Rousey; step-father James Clay; grandmother Earline G. Rousey; four sisters; three brothers; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; mother-in-law Belinda M. James; father-in-law Mikel James, Sr.; and other relatives and friends.

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins, Jr., Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sharon Broaddus officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 10:45 a.m. Wednesday.

James Rousey was murdered in an apartment in the 2100 block of Deforrest Street in Richmond VA. The Richmond Police Department website shows the status of the murder case is "cleared."
