Leonard served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Myles C. Fix. Leonard worked at the Bulk Mail Center in Springfield before his retirement . He was predeceased by his father Leonard Patryn and his sister, Cheryl Patryn Audet.
He will be deeply missed by his mother, Cecile Patryn of South Hadley, his loving son, Jason M. Patryn, wife Dalia and grandson Jacob of Chula Vista, CA., his daughter and caretaker, Alyssa Dawson of Southampton and grandsons Collin and Jack Dawson, his brother, Bruce Patryn wife Mary of Springfield Center, NY, his sisters, his sisters, Carole Szlachetka husband Edward of Chicopee , Cynthia Walsh husband Edward of Springfield, Christine O' Hare husband Bill of South Hadley, Celeste Ferris husband Michael, and Claudia Frappier of South Hadley and several nieces and nephews.
God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be; so he put his arms around him and whispered come with me. With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw home fade away; although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands to rest: god broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best !!.
