Britta Persdotter was 4th of 7 children born to Pehr Olsson and Brita Larsdotter.
Britta married Anders Anderson III (1829-1879) and the couple had eight children. Anders Anderson III, was a carpenter.

The family was contacted by the Mormon missionaries and "Greta" Britta (at age 45) and Anders (at age 50) were baptized member of the LDS Church on 12 Oct 1879. However, just two months later Anders died on 12 Dec 1879.

This left Britta, with 7 (living) children ranging in age from 17 to 2 year old. Life was very difficult for the family. Britta took in washing and ironing to earn a little money, and they farmed most of their food. Besides attending grammar school, the boys worked on farms and the girls worked as maid & house keepers.
